24 A HOLE IN THE HEAD

The Red Barn Theater’s film series continues with a 1959 comedy directed by the venerable Frank Capra and starring Frank Sinatra, Edward G. Robertson and Eleanor Parker. The film is remarkable for the introduction of the hit song "High Hopes" featuring Sinatra, Parker and child star Eddie Hodges. Join host John Hardy at 7 p.m. in front of The Big Screen at The Red Barn, 3657 63rd St. at Blue Star Hwy., Saugatuck, about a quarter mile east of Exit 41 off of I-196. Suggested donation is $5. 5-8pm. The Children’s Museum of Fennville will open its doors to families of children with autism. This evening will offer a quieter, more understanding environment, to play and enjoy the museum. Admission is free, thanks to a generous gift from Liberty Plastics. A basic map of the museum will be provided to help families locate favorite exhibits, rest rooms, and quiet area. The Red Barn Theater’s film series continues with the 1964 big-screen epic the final western directed by John Ford and featuring Richard Widmark, James Stewart, and Edward G. Robinson as well as great character actors Ricardo Montalban and Gilbert Roland as Native Americans who had been abused by government bureaucrats.
