Special Guests to Attend Waterfront Film Festival - Saugatuck, MI
Saugatuck, MI - June 8, 2009 - Waterfront Film Festival Kicks off Thursday, June 11 and has a number of guests that we are honored to have attending. "This will be an exciting year", stated Kori Eldean Rentz, Co-founder of the Film Festival. "We have some fantastic people attending and the line-up of films is incredible. This will be one year you don't want to miss."
This year's special guests include:
Daryl Hannah:
Daryl is an actress, filmmaker, and environmental activist. She has long been advocating a "green" lifestyle, and has created the website dhlovelife.com dedicated to sharing solutions on how to live more harmoniously with the planet. Daryl is featured in the documentary "Fierce Light", screening at the festival Friday, June 12th at 7 PM and Saturday, June 13th at 11:30 AM.
Yeardley Smith:
Yeardley is an Emmy award-winning actress, novelist and playwright who has appeared on television, film, and Broadway. Yeardley is best known as the voice of Lisa Simpson on Fox's hit television show "The Simpsons". She also stars in "Waiting for Ophelia", screening at the festival on Friday, June 12th at 4:30 PM and Saturday, June 13th at 11:30 AM.
Ron English:
Ron is a world-renowned street artist, and the subject of one of 2009 feature films, "Abraham Obama", showing Saturday, June 13th at 4:30 PM. Mr. English also specially created the artwork used for the cover design of the 2009 Waterfront Film Festival Official Catalogue and Poster. He will be on hand opening night for signings.
Sebastian Gutierrez:
Sebastian is an award-winning writer/director, known for writing such films as "Snakes on a Plane" starring Samuel L. Jackson, and "Gothika" starring Halle Berry. He will be on hand for the Midwest Premiere of his latest film, "Women in Trouble", screening at the festival on Friday, June 12th at 4:30 PM and Saturday, June 13th at 9 AM.
Jason Ritter:
Jason has appeared on stage, television, and film, best known for his role as Kevin on "Joan of Arcadia". Jason stars as Peter in "Peter and Vandy" screening at the Festival Saturday, June 13th at 2 PM and Sunday, June 14th at 7 PM.
Kirsten Haglund:
Kirsten was Miss America 2008, and is a native of Farmington Hills, MI. Kirsten is very passionate about the arts, and recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. She will be hosting this year's Opening Night Kick-Off.
