St. Patricks Day Festivities

Saugatuck - Douglas

St. Patrick's Day Weekend

March 12, 2011

Grab a shamrock and head for "O'Saugatuck' & "McDouglas" on St. Patrick's Day Weekend. Both towns turn on their Irish charm for the wearin' o' the green. Festivities begin with our annual pub crawl...a day long trolley tour of area pubs and breweries by groups of cheerful party goers.

Pets are encouraged to join in our St. Patty's Day Parade themed "Erin go Bark". Prizes are awarded for the best dressed dogs and there is no lack of creativity!

Following the pet parade, join Christian Neighbors for a flash-mob in Douglas in Berry Field where organizers will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people singing 'O Danny Boy at one time. Bring a canned good to donate to the needy!

Many local restaurants will be serving up Irish Pub specialties including corned beef, cabbage and Irish soda bread with live music and entertainment.
