KIDS CAMP - MUSICAL MINDFULNESS W/ MUSICIAN CAMERON BLAKE (AGES 7+)

3:00PM - 5:00PM. Saugatuck Center for the Arts. This offering will be hosted at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts in an open-air classroom (400 Culver St. Saugatuck, MI 49453). A prepackaged snack will be provided for each camper on both days. “Many people are alive but don’t touch the miracle of being alive.” – Thích Nhất Hạnh Join musician and songwriter, Cameron Blake, for an experience that explores the art of presence. Cameron will share his own musical journey before helping campers practice mindfulness as a springboard for the songwriting process. Children will create their own handmade “lyric journals” before checking in with their inner emotional landscapes by anchoring in the studio space, the music, the present moments, and themselves. All live-instruction camps are dependent on State guidelines. Should the State “dial back” gathering guidelines in the future the SCA will comply. If this should happen, all impacted classes would be cancelled; patrons would receive e-notification and be refunded.
