Places for Kids to Eat in Saugatuck / Douglas, Michigan

We have tons of great restaurants for kids. But my mom and dad say you have to be really good in the fancy ones. I have good table manners. I can eat everywhere!

Blue Moon Bar & Grille

The Blue Moon is a very special restaurant my family eats here on special occasions. I think my mom and dad eat here too. They like it a lot.

Blue Star Café & M&M's

I love the Blue Star Café. They have great food and lots of ice cream. It is an old fashioned style diner. They even serve Greek food and soft serve ice cream but they don't really have M&M's the candy. That's just their name.

The Boat House

The Boat House has cool Mexican food.

Butler

The Butler has a burger that is world famous. It is the best burger in this country. Maybe in the world. I would say it is the best burger in the world but I haven't eaten every burger in the world yet. It is probably the best in the country.

Chaps

Chaps is in Douglas. It is a very nice restaurant. I behave in Chaps and use my table manners. I really like their food for kids especially desert.

Chequers

Chequers is a cool restaurant. There is a fire place. My dad tells me the food is English, that's why it's an English Pub.

Clearbrook Restaurant

Clearbrook has two really neat restaurants. The fancy restaurant is one of the best. If I can’t finish my dinner I get to take it home in a tinfoil swan. The Grille Room is really cool. You can watch animal channel on TV and eat a hamburger at the same time.

The Comfort Café

The Comfort Café is a new place. It's really cute and has good food.

Coral Gables

The Coral Gables is a great restaurant. I like to eat here a lot because it is right on the Harbor and you can watch the boats go by. It has great food too. My Grandpa tells me it is a very historical place. It has been there for a long time. You can rock-climb on their rock-climbing wall too.

Crane's Pie Pantry

Crane's is a fun place. There is so much to do. It is a huge orchard. They grow all kids of apples. I like to pick my own. In the fall on every Sunday, my family goes and picks apples and then has lunch at the pie pantry. The food is yummy but their pies are the best. They are very famous for their pies and homemade stuff.

The Elbo Room

The Elbo Room will deliver food right to your house or even hotel. They have pizza and other food. They are on the river with a great view.

Everyday People Café

The Everyday People Café is a cool restaurant with fancy food. I like the big posters on the wall.

Kalico Kitchen

The Kalico Kitchen has really good food like you get at home. I like to eat breakfast and lunch there. They have great big deserts.

Mermaid

The Mermaid Bar and Grill is a sweet restaurant. It is on the river and I like the food. I like to sit out side the best because when we are waiting for our food I can go feed the ducks on the dock.

Monroe's

Monroe's is a cool restaurant. They have really good ribs and chicken wings. There is also a lot of pictures of some famous lady. I think she is dead now.

Phils

They have great broasted chicken. I can eat lots of it.

Pumpernickel's

I love Pumpernickels. So does my mom and dad. We go there for breakfast after church on Sunday.

The Ravines Restaurant

The Ravines has good hamburgers. My Mom likes their perch and my Daddy loves their salmon. It’s a nice place to eat for kids.

Restaurant Toulouse

Restaurant Toulouse is a great restaurant but they have funny markings on their bathroom doors. I did not know which was which. The food is fancy French cuisine. Sometimes there is an outdoor garden patio with live music.

Spectators Bar & Grill

This is a very popular restaurant where you can watch sports on TV. Sometimes they have specials where you can eat all you want! I like their Bodacious Ribs!

The White House Bistro & Winery

I like the funny guy who owns the White House and I like his pretty wife because she sings with a microphone. The best thing to eat there is the Greek cheese they set on fire.

Yum! Yum! Café Gelateria & Luncheonette

Yum! Yum! Cafe is in Douglas. They have yummy treats especially the gelatos. I guess that is why they got their name.
