J. Paules' Fenn Inn

Solid oak accents define the main floor, whose open layout flows from one room to another across a patterned wood floor. The cozy décor and eclectic furnishings reflect the hospitality of the owner, who has served as inn’s hostess for more than 20 years. The owner of three rescue dogs, the innkeeper has designated the bed & breakfast as pet-friendly for those guests who travel with their furry family members.

She serves a full gourmet breakfast each day, featuring such menu delights as pecan French toast, stuffed French toast, and apple-puff pancakes. Guests can satisfy their morning appetites in the country-style dining room or an enclosed sun porch.  The inn’s personal touch is evident each evening, when the hostess serves a buffet of homemade desserts, with coffee, tea, and wine and grape juice bottled at a local winery and stamped with the inn’s own label—a charming keepsake for guests.

The warmth of the hostess can be found in the lovely decorative touches all through the five guest rooms. Each one is outfitted with a queen/twin bed, private bath, fireplace, in-room temperature control, air conditioning, TV, and VCR/DVD/CD player. All but two of the rooms feature a Jacuzzi tub, and WIFI access is available throughout the inn.

The inn’s charm spills outdoors to flowering gardens, dotted with gazebos, sitting areas, and fountains—little niches where guests can claim their own calming oasis. Guests have the option of ordering personal serenity packages, including massage and reiki therapy, wellness-spa aromatherapy with moisturizers, and detoxification using sea salt. A wrap-around porch, barbecue grills, picnic tables, fire pits, and decks further contribute to the inn’s atmosphere of cordiality.
