ANNOUNCEMENTS

Area Social Districts

Updated March 5, 2024

We welcome you to join us in the Saugatuck, Douglas, and Fennville social districts as you stroll through these charming downtown areas while waiting for a table. This program allows visitors to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating bars and restaurants and then enjoy them throughout each district's common areas.

Visitors are welcome to consume within the boundaries of each social district during the designated program days and times noted below. Beverages may only be enjoyed from designated containers that feature each social district’s logo.

Saugatuck

The Saugatuck social district hours are from 11am to 11pm daily. The following venues are currently participating:

Bowdie's Chophouse
Coppercraft Distillery Tasting Room
El Burrito Feliz
Marro's Italian Restaurant
SaugaTaco
The BARge
The Butler
The Mitten Brewing
Wicks Park Bar & Grille

Other venues will be added as they receive their licenses from the state. Look for the City of Saugatuck Social District decal on retail store windows to indicate the stores that will welcome you to enter with your beverage.

Douglas

The Douglas social district hours are from 11am to 11pm daily. The common area runs along Center Street from Blue Star Highway to Wade's Bayou.

Currently, there are two participating venues: Borrowed Time and Everyday People Café, with other venues pending as they wait to receive their licenses from the state. Any participating retail store displaying a Douglas social district decal will welcome visitors to enter with their beverages.

Fennville

The Fennville Social District is open from 12pm to 9pm each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday year round. The common area boundaries are marked by signage and include the entire Central Business District, west to south and Rose Streets, north to First Street, east to the railroad tracks and south along Fennville Street. Currently there are three participating beverage venues including Salt of the EarthRoot Café, and El Jaripeo. On July and August Thursday evenings enjoy live music 6:30–8pm across from City Hall at 125 South Maple.
