FENNVILLE, MI – November 3, 2021 – Modales Winery & Vineyards announced their first ever annual Nouveau Celebration event to take place on Saturday, November 20th at their Fennville winery. In the spirit of the famed Beaujolais Nouveau Day – the French tradition where the first wine of the season is released – Modales’ Nouveau Celebration is an event that marks the first release of the new vintage and the end of wine harvest season. It will be a ticketed event, open to the public and an opportunity to enjoy their 2021 Nouveau. The Tasting Room will be closed for regular service that day to accommodate event guests.

“We’ve been waiting two years to host our first-ever Nouveau Celebration at Modales Winery – since last year’s celebration was put on hold due to COVID. We hope our guests will enjoy the opportunity to sample our wine in the same fun, celebratory style as the French tradition,” said Winemaker Andrew Backlin. “This is another step in bolstering Modales as a key player in cool-climate native fermentation winemaking.”

The celebration event includes a choice of four 2 oz. wine samples, one glass of 2021 Nouveau, a French-inspired catered buffet and cassoulet, a silent auction, and toasty fall bonfires all around the property. There will be live jazz music from Djangophonique, a Django Rinehart-influenced Parisian-style quartet that brings this music into the present with stunning improv, spontaneity, and musical interaction. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40, at the door, and $25 for Wine Club members.  Advance tickets are available at modaleswine.com.
