Charlie Rees and Bob Ashley are two interesting men who are passionate about their own art and art of others; they seek out art everywhere. Bob called himself a "wanna be" artist all his life as a designer and cartoonist. I sat down with them and was thrilled to learn about how they think about process. Charlie thoughtfully considers light, line and color; Bob enthusiastically discussed composition, rhythm and movement. A Cézanne image at the Chicago Institute of Art changed the way Charlie works with watercolors while Bob creates with thrift store finds. But that's not all-- neither could answer the question "what is your medium" because they are talented enough to create in multiple styles. Learn about their creative process and more with us as we meet two "brothers in art" Thursday evening at Capizzo. You don't want to miss an evening of art and conversation with Charlie and Bob. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
