Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

Monday, April 8

Stop by between 2:00pm and 4:00pm

On April 8, North America will experience a total solar eclipse. We here in West Michigan will reach about 95% totality, with the peak occurring at 3:10 in the afternoon.

You are invited to join the library for an Eclipse Viewing Party. There will be solar viewing glasses, snacks, crafts for kids, streaming video presentations and a heliostat set up in the backyard. This device projects the image of the sun onto the patio wall. The larger image is a great way to experience the eclipse safely. Keep your fingers crossed for cloudless skies.

Don't miss out on this opportunity. There won't be another solar eclipse in Michigan until 2044!
