This two day workshop will introduce students to a range of folding techniques to create multiple-page books from a single sheet of paper. After experimenting with the variety of methods to create the book structure, students will be encouraged to explore ways to alter the structure to support the book’s content. We will discuss the relationship between form and content, along with media through which to express meaning within the book form. Media will include collage, drawing, wet media, printmaking, and text. Practical, accessible tools and techniques will be discussed throughout the workshop.
