Halloween in Saugatuck/Douglas

From unique events like glow-in-the-dark dance parties, to the Giant Pumpkin King rising from the ashes, there’s always something grand and a bit spooky happening in the Saugatuck/Douglas area for Halloween, and this year is no exception. October 25 and 26 will be the weekend where all the community Halloween events for kids, pets and adults will take place, and if you’re looking for a true Saugatuck/Douglas Halloween, bring the entire family for trick-or-treating on October 31. Here is the full event lineup:

Halloween Events:

October 25 – Glow in the Park

6-9 p.m. Coghlin Park, Downtown Saugatuck

Glow it up in Coghlin Park with fun for all ages, including a terrainable ride, DJ, dance party, UV face painters, black light tent, games and crafts, food and beverages. Even the cotton candy glows! This all-inclusive FREE family-friendly event is the perfect party to jump-start the Halloween weekend in Saugatuck/Douglas.

October 26 – Scary Beery in the Park

1-3 p.m. Beery Field

October 26 is the big day for Halloween in Saugatuck/Douglas, and it kicks off with Scary Beery in the Park. Halloween fun encompasses Beery Field in downtown Douglas with games, a book walk, delicious food and much more! Families are encouraged to wear their costumes for this spooky event!

October 26 – Saugatuck’s Annual Halloween Kids & Pet Parade

3:30 p.m. Wicks Park

After Scary Beery in the Park, take the kids over to Saugatuck for the Annual Halloween Kids and Pets Parade, starting at Wicks Park in downtown Saugatuck. Come dressed to impress, you might just win a prize at the costume contest! Come early for costume judging, march in the parade, and then stay after the parade to find out who won!

October 26 – Douglas Halloween Parade for Adults

9:30 p.m. Center Street

This famous nighttime Halloween parade is not to be missed – an extravaganza of creativity in costuming and performances. Lineup begins at 9 and at 10 p.m. the Pumpkin King rises from the ashes to get the party started. You’ll want to leave the kids with a sitter, this is an adults-only affair. This is event takes place, rain, snow, sleet or moon-shine, so come dressed for the weather.

October 31 – Trick-or-Treat in Saugatuck/Douglas

6-8 p.m. Downtown Saugatuck, Douglas & Fennville

Put on your costumes, grab your candy bag and hit the streets of Saugatuck, Douglas and Fennville for trick-or-treating this Halloween. Kids, pets and adults – all are welcome for this spooky good time.
