kids camp - the creative outdoors - water (ages 5-10)

10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
10:00AM - 12:30PM. Saugatuck Center for the Arts. This offering will be hosted at the Outdoor Discovery Center’s campus: 4214 56th St, Holland, MI 49423. Pick up and drop off will occur in front of the Visitor Center by the main entrance. A prepackaged snack will be provided for each camper. Water makes up 80% of the earth, including YOU! Come explore this prevalent element by looking at our area’s lakeshore, ponds, marshes, and watersheds. We’ll create watershed-inspired work to better understand the very thing that we’re made of. Come explore the outdoors with creative eyes. Dive into the intricate world of trees, soil, critters, patterns in nature, and more. After time outside hiking and exploring, we will return to the SCA studio to create artwork based on what we’ve learned. You’ll make connections between art and the outdoors that are bound to spark your curiosity about the world around you. Dress for dirt and prepare for adventures! All live-instruction camps are dependent on State guidelines. Should the State “dial back” gathering guidelines in the future the SCA will comply. If this should happen, all impacted classes would be cancelled; patrons would receive e-notification and be refunded.
