September in Saugatuck – An Outdoor Lover’s Dream

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – September is one of the best times of year to visit Saugatuck/Douglas. Parking is plentiful, crowds have retreated, and shops, restaurants and galleries are all still using their summer schedule. Warm weather is still upon us in September, but cool evenings offer a refreshing glimpse into the fall season ahead.

Due to that subtle shift in weather, September is a great time for outdoor recreation, and there’s truly no better place for it than in Saugatuck/Douglas. You’ll find plenty of gorgeous spots for hiking, biking, paddling and more. September is also a great time for outdoorsy visitors with a  competitive spirit as active competitions and events are in full swing.
