THE DIA WORKS OF ART IN DOUGLAS by Maryjo Lemanski.

A hands-on exploration of the Detroit of Institute of Art works in Douglas, by local Artist and Educator, Maryjo Lemanski.

September 15th and 16th from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.  Meet at the City Hall at 12:45 PM.  Masks required and bring a folding chair. 

Maryjo Lemanski, will lead a visual road trip through the seven masterpieces reproduced and being displayed this summer in Douglas downtown outdoor venues courtesy of the Detroit Institute of Art.  In this hands-on exploration, you will disarrange the paintings to find the meanings.

On this 2-day journey, you will use a guide that includes: composition, shape, gesture, texture, line and value.  You will also use crayons, streamers, tea and some famous paintings.

By the end of the road trip, you are guaranteed to know the “DIA treasures” inside out!  

Register early as only 12 tickets will be available.  Registration is for both days.
