PRESS RELEASE

Saugatuck Named One of the Most Beautiful Towns in America by Conde Nast Traveler

SAUGATUCK, MI — AUGUST 27, 2021 — The Saugatuck Douglas Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (SDACVB) announced the recent honor of being named one of “The 26 Most Beautiful Towns in America” by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Saugatuck was the only Michigan town featured and one of only two Midwest destinations included.

Selected because the towns offer something all their own, the destinations included as Conde Nast Traveler’s 26 most beautiful American towns are home to local boutiques, tons of outdoor activities, and restaurant-to-people ratios that lean way in your favor.

“(Saugatuck is)…a playground for sunbathers, kayakers, and dune-buggy-riders…with an impressive art scene, not to mention a wealth of wineries and travel-worthy restaurants,” wrote the publication about Saugatuck, Michigan.

“We are so honored to be recognized among this impressive list of beautiful American towns,” said Lisa Mize, Executive Director, Saugatuck Douglas Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Saugatuck is very beloved to visitors who come back year after year as well as our residents who call it home. Our miles of gorgeous Lake Michigan shoreline, award-winning beaches, charming downtown main streets, and stunning dune landscapes truly make the Saugatuck Douglas area a must-visit beautiful destination.”

The “26 Most Beautiful Towns in America” is featured in the magazine’s August issue. For more information and to see the list, visit: https://www.cntraveler.com/gallery/the-most-beautiful-towns-in-america.
